Sena Urges Speaker to Disqualify 12 Rebels

Mumbai: After failing in bringing the disgruntled MLAs to the state, Uddhav Thackeray the Shiv Sena president requested and swoop the speaker to disqualify 12 rebel  MLAs who ‘defied the party whup’. Shiv Sena Lok sabha MP Vinayak Raut told legislative party leader Ajay Chaudhary met deputy speaker Narahari Zirwal and submitted a letter seeking disqualification of 12 rebel MLAs consisting of Eknath Shinde, Bharat Gogawale, Tanaji Sawant, Yamini Jadhav, and Prakash Surve. He also said that the disqualification procedure has started by following all legal procedures. “We initially asked to disqualify 12 rebel MLAs. These MLAs did not attend the party meeting despite two notices. Therefore, we sought their disqualification. We may seek disqualification of other MLAs as well,” MP Vinayak Raut said. Earlier in the day the party’s Rajya Sabha Member Sanjay Raut said if the rebel shiv Sena MLAs doesn’t return then they would have to face some legal actions on behalf of the party.

The rebels had written to Uddhav Thackeray informing them that they have no complaints against him but the people who are close to him were not allowed to meet him. They said that the Varsha Bungalow was the official residence of the Chief Minister was never opened for them. Along with this they also put this allegation over Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray that he never provided them with enough amount funds for their constituencies.
