Members of the BJYM’s Chikkamagaluru district committee also resigned from their positions earlier on July 27, citing “inaction” on the part of the government about the murder as the cause of their discontent. The BJP’s youth division is known as the BJYM.  On July 26, Praveen Nettaru was slain in Bellare. In the Dakshina Kannaga district. Disaster for Karnataka BJP

Sandeep Patil, who oversaw the district’s IT Cell and spoke to The Quint. He predicted that the resignations would spell “disaster” for the BJP in the state. The IT Cell represents the BJP. We promote BJP. We are the BJP’s foundation. “He continued by saying that the Bagalkote and Bijapur district IT Cells served merely as examples for others. “This is likely to snowball in the next 24 hours,” Patil, who has served as the district’s social media chairperson for the past two years, added.

The fact that “two Hindu workers” were brutally murdered. When Basavaraj Bommai was appointed Chief Minister of Karnataka has irritated the IT Cell. “When our party is in power in the state and the Centre, how can Hindu workers or BJP workers meet such a brutal end? This cannot go on. We need strict action,” Patil Stated. A BJYM representative who spoke on the record under the condition of anonymity revealed that his coworkers had also left their positions, “The cadres are unhappy. We want the government to open its eyes at least now.”

BJYM district-level leader N Jitheesh

BJYM district-level leader N Jitheesh said, “We want the culprits to be punished severely. We want the NIA to take up the probe into Praveen’s murder. BJP members attacked Nalin Kumar Kateel’s car following the murder of Praveen Nettaru.

This suggests that the IT Cell employees think that if they cease working, the BJP will be unable to contact the public. Workers believe that the protest resignations will be a “marketing disaster” for the BJP as the state prepares for legislative elections in 2023.

The BJP’s IT Cell is a massive organisation with representatives in each taluk in the state in addition to coordinators at the district and taluk levels. They provide news that folks in the Cell who are looking for information online may easily ingest

“In India, a large majority of people consume news on social media. Information on social media is believed even over the information given out by the media. We further the interest of the BJP on social media by reaching maximum number of people,”  Patil Stated.
