Calcutta High Court opposed to appoint CBI in Debanjan Deb’s forge vaccination campaign

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) requested the Calcutta High Court to investigate Debanjan Deb’s fake vaccination campaign in Kolkata. But, the High Court discarded their appeal of PIL’s on Friday. According to the Calcutta High Court, the Kolkata Police should get complete freedom to investigate this case conveniently. Apart from that, the probability of a CBI inquiry may arise later according to the need. But there is no need to appoint the central agency in that case now. The political disruption continues regarding the fraud vaccination case:- On 23rd June, the Kolkata Police arrested fake IAS officer Debanjan Deb for organizing fraudulent Covid vaccination campaigns in Kasba. As per the source, he conducted another fake campaign in City College with the name of Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC). Several people, including TMC MLA and actress Mimi Chakroborty, took fake vaccines at the forge campaign of Kasba. The political conflict started when the pictures of Debanjan Deb, the main culprit, along with other MLAs, came into the limelight. Many political critics, including the opposition party leaderships of BJP, CPIM, accused the ruling government of being attached to the scam. But, the Chief Minister of West Bengal already assured that the state government does not support such fraudulence ever. According to her statement, the scammers of BJP might be associated with such fake vaccination camps. According to Firhad Hakim, the Mayor of Kolkata, police are trying to find out the motive behind such vaccination campaigns.
Moreover, he assured that they should take proper steps against the fraudsters, no matter which party they belong to. However, the decision of the Calcutta High Court has undoubtedly relieved the state government now. Besides, the advocate general said that a charge sheet of this case would be presented to the court soon.
